  • If you are a former member, you will simply be reinstated
  • If you belong to another LCC congregation, you can become a member by transferring from you current church
  • If you currently belong to the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Canada (ELCIC), you may become a member following an interview with our pastor and undertaking a profession of faith
  • If you are entirely new to the Lutheran Church, you may become a member through confirmation. The requirements for confirmation vary from a meeting with the pastor to taking a full instructional course in Lutheranism, depending on your background

How can I be baptized?

For an infant baptism, please contact Pastor to arrange an interview.

For an adult baptism, some form of instruction in the Lutheran faith is generally required. Again, contact Pastor to arrange an interview.

How can I be confirmed?

Contact Pastor if you or your child is interested in taking confirmation classes.

Generally, children enter confirmation when they enter Grade 7 at school. (12 years of age). Confirmation consists of a two-year instructional course.

For adult confirmation, the amount of instruction required will depend on their exposure to the Lutheran faith and its beliefs before entering the course. Pastor will try to arrange classes so that there are at least 3 or 4 adults taking instruction at the same time.
