St Luke Worship Teams
Matthew Tressel leads a number of groups made up of talented
musicians each Sunday
during the Contemporary
Service.
We
are in the process of updating the worship teams music selection and any
suggestions are welcomed.
Our schedule is posted on the St
Luke Wiki where there is updates as well
as any necessary discussion. You can view everything without logging in, but
if you wish to post, you will have to log in by creating a user account.
We are always looking for new people to be involved in the worship teams.
singers and instrumentalists who are looking to improve their talents and
gifts are welcomed to volunteer in this ministry.
Ideas for Furthering Our Musical Talent and Programs
Here are the ideas that were compiled on
June 14:
- "Around the Campfire/Light"
- All church musicians
(first and second service and choir) would get together for jam nights
and fellowships. In this way all the musicians would grow together in music
and in faith. This would potentially be on one Sunday per month.
- Possibility
of the choir and worship teams sometimes teaming up and playing music together.
- Could involve the choir and worship teams in a Web-based program to m
anage
new material, coordinate songs, etc.. See Charlie Metzger for more information
on this idea.
- Improve musical equipment and music performance area (stage,
microphones, sound board, etc.)
- Have a music type Talent Show - all musicians
in church can all play whatever they want. Intermingling of teams. Getting
together for fun and laughter. People can just bring songs that they want
to sing and stuff.
- Training days for various instruments - vocal, piano,
drums, guitar, etc.
